The Healing Fields is a tribute to those that died 6 years ago in the attack on America. They placed a flag for each person that died on that day in Tempe Beach Park
On each flag was a yellow ribbon with the name of a lost soul.
Also, on display was a flag made of 50 US State Flags and 6 US territory Flags. In the middle was the name of each victim and it was signed by all the members of the US Senate.
For those of you that are into endurance sports. This is Tempe Beach Park, the transition site for the SOMA Triathlon and the Ironman Arizona Triathlon.
I visited during the heat of the day and there were still lots of people paying tribute. One lady was nice enough to snap this photo for me.
Six years ago, I didn't know what to do. I put my name on the waiting list to give blood. I supported our government however I could, I gave money. I, also, went out into our front yard and started to build this planter to hold our flag. I'm not the most handy around the home, but it's still standing and holds our flag each holiday and on September 11th of each year.
